On Wednesday, October 24, 2018, Gene Tate, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 72. Gene was born on April 8, 1946 in Jacksonville, Texas. He was a veteran of the Air Force and the Vietnam war, and a retiree of the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed working with tools and was adept at building and fixing almost anything. He had a fun, magnetic personality that people tended to be instantly drawn to, and he could frequently be found talking and laughing with neighbors and friends over a cup of coffee. Gene was preceded in death by his wife of twenty years, Lisa. He is survived by his daughter Veronica, step-daughter Ashley, step-son Justin, and six grandchildren.
