Jerry was a great friend and teamate at JT. I had alot of great memories-we both dreamed of playing in the state championship game our senior year. we continued our friendship at TJC and went off to UT together with close friends Paul Clinkscales and Van Johnson and continued to build more great memories. Over the years we have stayed in touch and I look forward to seeing him in heaven someday.

Van's nickname was "Smiley" as he was always smiling! We had alot of great times together and were roomates in college. A great person who will be missed by all!
